Intro to App Creation

For ages 10-15.

Create your own app in the App Lab programming environment for building and sharing apps. Kids learn to create and control buttons, text, images, sounds, and screens in Javascript using blocks or text. Kids will create a “Choose Your Own Adventure”, “Greeting Card”, or “Personality Quiz” app.

Students will:

• Learn the basics of Javascript coding
• Learn and apply user experience (UX) concepts, such as:
  • Layouts, buttons, and colors
• Code a mobile web-app that can be shared with family and friends!
