Minecraft Coding (Online Class)

For ages 9-14.

Is your child crazy for Minecraft?

Learn to code Minecraft mods: make it rain turtles, code yourself super jumping powers or build sky islands with a few lines of code. Then play Minecraft team challenges. It is more fun to play with others and work together towards a common goal. All you need is a computer or Chromebook. Download Minecraft Education for free. We will provide the licenses.

Students will work individually:

• To use block programming or JavaScript to create mods
• Design creative builds using their mods
• Work together in teams through various fun challenges

This is a 2-hour online class. There will be a 10 minute break halfway.

Skill Level

For beginner to advanced Minecraft players.

Requirements

Students will need:

• A desktop or laptop computer with reliable internet connection. (See detailed technical requirements here.)
• To download and install an up-to-date version of Minecraft Education Edition. (This is a free download. We will provided licenses!)
