Minecraft Coding (Online Class)

Ages: 9-14

Skill Level: All Minecraft players welcome!

Type of Program: Minecraft

Length of Course: 2 hours, with a 10-minute break halfway through.

 

About This Course

Your child’s passion for Minecraft will be their greatest learning advantage in this online camp!

Your child will learn to code Minecraft mods such as raining turtles, super jumping powers or floating sky islands. Next come the team challenges, your kid will collaborate with their new friends to beat challenges and work towards a common goal.

In this course, your child will:

  • Learn the basics of block programming or JavaScript as they create their own Minecraft mods
  • Strengthen their creative thinking as they use Minecraft’s tools and resources to build projects
  • Develop valuable STEM skills as they engineer interesting new structures
  • Improve their problem-solving skills as they revise their work and fix errors that come up
  • Present their amazing designs to their classmates
  • Meet new friends who share a common interest
  • Have an absolute blast!

 

Course Requirements:

  • A desktop or laptop computer with reliable internet connection (read more about computer and system requirements here).
  • Webcam, microphone, zoom and a few other supplies to ensure a safe and seamless learning experience (please read: what is needed for online learning)
  • An installed up-to-date version of Minecraft Education Edition (it is FREE and we will provide licenses)
