Python Explorers (Online Class)

Ages: 10-14

Skill Level*: Prerequisite – Python Discoverers or equivalent experience in Python programming (contact us through phone or email to confirm)

Type of Program: Progressive Coding

Length of Course: This is a weekly program that runs for 90 minutes per class.

 

About This Course

Your child will grow in their Python programming skills, building off their knowledge from Python Discoverers. They do so by building more complex games and practicing number-sense concepts which are also found in the Alberta math curriculum.

In this course, your child will:

  • Practice building more complex games with Python such as hangman
  • Improve their number-sense skills as our course incorporates concepts from the math curriculum, using technology
  • Improve their understanding in a variety of data science concepts
  • Practice various computer science concepts such as more advanced control flow logic, complex conditionals and loops, data structures and debugging
  • Meet friends who share a common interest
  • Have an absolute blast!

Course Requirements:
