About This Course

Youths, ages 10-14, will work in teams to solve problems with code and technology. They will use their creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to a problem. The goal is to work in teams to create a functioning prototype by the end of the event. Each hackathon event will have a specific theme or challenge that will be announced at the event. The purpose is to foster innovation and collaboration in a fast-paced and fun environment.

What to expect when you attend?

• Introduce concept or technology with a mini-exercise.
• Introduce hackathon problem, rules and guidelines
• Hackathon
• Each team presents their solution
• Judges presents winner

Block-based programming language focused:

• Saturday, December 7 at 9:30-12:00 pm

Python programming language focused:

• Saturday, December 7 at 1:00-3:30 pm
