Intro to App Creation 

 

 

For ages 10-14. 

 

 

Create your own app in the App Lab programming environment for building and sharing apps. Kids learn to create and control buttons, text, images, sounds, and screens in Javascript using blocks or text. Kids will create a “Choose Your Own Adventure”, “Greeting Card”, or “Personality Quiz” app.   

 

 

Students will: 

  • Learn some basic Javascript 
  • Learn some user experience (UX) concepts
  • Code their first app to be shared with family and friends

This is a 2-hour online camp. There will be a 10 minute break halfway. 

 

 

Skill Level 

All skill levels welcome. 

 

 

Requirements 

Students will need: 

  • Access to a computer with internet access
