Virtual Classes for Grade 5 - Session 2

Virtual classes for grade 5 students who are learning from home!

This is an instructor-led & curriculum-tied program that emphasizes how to use digital tools and coding to enhance their learning needs in core school subjects. 

Teachers guide students to research and create their own information site about topics that interests them. This session's theme has to do all about their health:

• What is an immune system?
• What are viruses versus bacteria?
• What are vaccines?

We build on students' curiosity to encourage expository writing to build content for their own website.  Students will learn to use website-building tools such as Wix or Wordpress as part of their work.

Dates:

• April 1 & 3
• April 8 & 10
• April 15 & 17

Times: 

• 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM  MDT (Mountain time)
