This is a week long camp offered at Discover Coding (11232 163 St NW, Edmonton)
Starts at 9 am (8:30 am early drop off)
Ends at 4 pm (4:30 pm late pick up)
Is your child crazy for Minecraft?
Kids, ages 10-14, explore one of the most renowned and exciting features of Minecraft — Redstone! For the uninitiated, Redstone is a strange red powder that can power doors, open walls, and even be a computer! And with all things, it is analogous to something in the real world — circuits!
Students will explore our Redstone tutorial lab. Then they will apply their understanding of circuitry to challenges such as farming, amusement parks, and safe houses for their villagers.
Students will learn:
The basics of circuitry
Simple machine structures like automatic doors to combination locks using logic structures
To work individually and collaborate on challenges
Students get to keep the worlds they build as a class to continue their builds.
This is a week-long camp with daily session. Each session is 2 hours long with a 10-minute break halfway through.
Skill Level
For intermediate to advanced Minecraft players.
