Hour of Python Vancouver

For ages 10-14 in Vancouver and surrounding region.

We want to empower students to learn about coding and computer science, two essential skills for the digital future.

Hour of Python is a FREE introduction to Python programming using Jupyter Notebooks. We will integrate many number-sense concepts from the math program of studies, using technology.

Students will learn Python programming language and computer science concepts, including:

• Basic data types

• Basic arithmetic operations and control flow

• Variables

• Loops

• Debugging

This is a 90-minute session with a 10-minute break halfway through.

Skill Level

This class is for beginners.

Requirements

Students will need:

• Access to a computer with internet access

• An email address
